Playing Card Pin Up

I've been trying for a long time now to get used to digital painting. I much prefer having a pencil of a paintbrush in my hand and all of the unpredictability that real life brings. But some digital paintings look so good and I want a piece of it so I did this, but why does it feel a little bit like cheating?
I'm still not sure if I like the results but it's always another tool to use.

Regardless of the finest cloaks and wimpoles worn by Mr. Badman, his fate remains the same as if he was a common thief. Mr. De'Athman greets his new charge with the scavengers dance, like a segull relishing rubbish.

Simon Pegg Illustration (Final)

At last, the finished illustration, the book is coloured and the background finished off. Highlights are added and a little colour correction done (the background colour has been introduced to the foreground to tie them together). Last of all, the text is added, followed by several days of hating the damned thing!
